Once upon a time, in Africa …

Nicola Risley was born and grew up in Kenya, in a family absorbed in its African adventure.

Self-taught and passionate about her work portraying the magic of Africa. Her paintings are true representations of some authentic ethnic groups and their cultures in the various regions of this country that she carries within her.

She made it her mission to represent these people before they disappear.

Leave some trace of peoples whose fate is increasingly uncertain, just as for the wild animals where both their territories are being reduced year after year.

A mixture of passion and homesickness, her paintings are unique moments that testify some extraordinary encounters with the people and fauna of this country.
