Dik Dik

The smallest antelope seen everywhere. They live as a pair for life. They are extremely shy, quick and agile and leap away into the low bush before you can get your binoculars or camera onto them. They are also known as leopard snacks which explains why they are so wild, shy and afraid. This is such a typical sight of a dik dik with its body already turned away ready to flee into the bush. They have gorgeous big black eyes and they even mark grass tips and twigs with the black sticky liquid from the black gland just below the corner of their eyes.
